EasyRoller™ Brushless DC Motorized Conveyor Rollers FAQ

Brushless DC (BLDC) motors offer several advantages over other types of drum motors, including efficiency, outstanding torque range, and reduced maintenance. BLDC motors operate with lower energy consumption when compared to traditional AC drum motors.These motors offer precise speed and precision control. This makes them ideal for many applications, including direct drive systems. Our brushless drum motors are electronically controlled and can produce different torque and power outputs.
Brushless DC (BLDC) motors and permanent magnet AC (PMAC) motors share some similarities, as both use permanent magnets for their operation. However, they differ in their design and how they generate torque.BLDC motors use electronic circuitry to switch the current flow to create a rotating magnetic field that interacts with magnets to produce torque.PMAC motors, on the other hand, are also synchronous motors driven by alternating current (AC) and use complex control algorithms to achieve the sinusoidal current waveform in the stator windings, resulting in a smoother torque output.
BLDC motorized conveyor rollers can improve efficiency in various ways compared to traditional motor and power transmission setups. One way is through reduced friction and wear. BLDC motors have no brushes and are common wear components in traditional brushed motors. The absence of brushes reduces friction, thereby minimizing energy losses and increasing the motor’s overall efficiency.
