Difference Between Evaporator Fans & Condenser Fans

The refrigeration cycle is all about extracting heat from the refrigerated environment rather than introducing cold air into the unit. Within the refrigeration cycle, refrigerant (or coolant) is both evaporated and liquefied as it passes through tubing so as to transfer heat.

Throughout the cooling cycle, refrigerant cycles through the components, absorbing and releasing heat away from the unit. The evaporator coil contains a refrigerant that will absorb heat from the air within the refrigerator. The condenser coil is where the refrigerant passes through to remove this heat, and then the whole process continues again.

How Much Does It Typically Cost To Replace An Evaporator Fan Motor?

Typically the average cost of repairing your refrigerator repair generally ranges from USD 250 to USD 550. Please note that this is not a definitive cost, as there are multiple elements to consider when diagnosing any issues with your refrigerator.

If your defroster motor is making loud grinding noises, then it is time to replace the motor.

Three aspects contribute to any cost associated with troubleshooting and repairing any evaporator fan motor in your refrigerator:

  1. Diagnostic costs,
  2. Labor costs, and
  3. Parts.
